The Analysis of Legislation and Practical Situation related to Employment of Persons with Disabilities - Policy Paper

Persons with disabilities and children with special care are in risk group.

This group has more problems than others.

Their medical treatment, daily living, education, rest, work, socialization, etc. is a problem in itself.

It is impossible for most people with disabilities to handle all these problems alone.

Besides  these problems, there are difficulties in society's perception in acceptance of a person with a disability as a personality. When someone sees a person with a disability, he/she does not even allow their children to talk to him/her, calling them"deaf", "blind", "dumb", "crazy", "abnormal", "invalid" living in such the environment becomes impossible for this people.

In order to reveal the problems of people with disabilities, the research group of the Institute for Democratic Initiatives has reviewed the legislative framework, its practical application, and the social protection system in other countries.

The policy paper has been  particularly focused on  employment of persons with  disabilities and gaps at this sphere.

Online research, information inquiries and opinions of experts were used in the preparation of the policy paper.

Recommendations for addressing the shortcomings and problems revealed in the policy paper.
