The Inviolability of Private Life and the Use of Personal Information in Azerbaijan - Policy Paper

The research group of the Institute for Democratic Initiatives (IDI) has investigated and issued a policy paper on inviolability of Private life and the use of personal information in Azerbaijan.

The main purpose of the paper is to collect data  and identify the direction on violations of private life and the illegal usage of personal data in the country.

The policy paper contains local and international legal statements on the collection, use and protection of personal information within the framework of inviolability of Private life, the European Court's experience, analysis of the current situation in Azerbaijan, conclusion and recommendations.

During the research, scientific methods such as observation, description, measurement were used.

News shared in Social media (Facebook) and online media (Google and Youtube) were referenced as sources.

Government agencies and commercial organizations, which have the obligation to protect personal data were selected as a subject of research.
